Deborah Harvin came into child care from corporate America, where she was a regional manager and a working mom. The question that stayed with her: where were her children while she was out "being amazing in this world"? Today she provides that same peace of mind to other working parents.

Edith’s Haven is built like a preschool and keeps her group small with just eight children — who join her as babies and grow up with her until they head to kindergarten. After 20 years in the same community, her former students still come back to visit.
